Take a step back and relax

Technology has drastically changed the way we live our lives. With everything we could possibly need available at our fingertips, our life has become a whole lot more convenient. Our life has now started to move at such an unbelievably fast pace that coping with it has become a ridiculously difficult task.

This hastened pace we live life at has dearly lost us when it comes to interpersonal relations. No longer does anyone have time for their family and loved ones. Faces streaked with stress and anger seem to have replaced those of tranquility and happiness. Humanity has really suffered as a consequence.

Statistics tell a shocking tale of rapidly increasing rates of suicide, drug addiction, substance abuse, divorce and depression all over the world. Even in a country like India, where the family bond is particularly strong, the people seem unhappy and stressed.

It is alarming to note that youth of the country who are highly qualified with lucrative careers are unable to deal with the emotional stress of the modern world and are cracking under its pressure.
We cannot keep living the way we do today. We need to escape from the tight grip of the ever increasing competition and bad will going around. How? A great way to start is to take off a little me time everyday to unwind. Yogic breathing exercises work wonders by calming you mind and freeing you of stress. It adds a little perspective to your problems as well.

Your mental and psychological well being is as important as your physical health. And yoga helps you achieve all three. Spend that time on yourself everyday. You'll find yourself beginning a better human being.
